“Where have you been? What’s ga’an on?” I hear you all cry. Well. For those not in the know, I needed a change. I needed to get out of the house. So since the start of September I have been working in the kitchen of The Sawmill cafe at Nether Wasdale. I am loving it. I’m only there three days a week so I still have a little time to do some baking.
Lining my ducks up has taken longer than anticipated and various family shindigs have got in the way.
I’ve renewed my bakery insurance and whatnot so I will be back up and running until I run out of flour. (Please don’t panic. I have a lot.) I will continue to sell via the Open Food Network which is where you will be able to see the list of ingredients and allergens displayed alongside the product, and through this I will be complying with the new legislation about labelling. I’ll be sorting out the OFN shop on Tuesday mornings not Mondays, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
The dates I intend to bake are:
Thursday 7th October
Thursday 14th October
Thursday 21st October
Friday 5th November
Friday 12th November
Thursday 18th November
I will be baking one or two products on each day. If you have requests, don’t be shy. I doubt I’ll be doing much sourdough, though. But if you like the Borodinsky Rye, Cinnamon Swirls, Milk Bread Trefoils, AROC and Bagels, then you’ll be happy.
